Pheromone trap panko^® M-TRAP is used for monitoring the presence of clothes moths by catching them. It keeps natural, synthetic and blended fabrics stored in museums safe. Its innovative construction and the right concentration of pheromone in the glue make it possible to catch moths quickly: the common clothes moth (Tineola bisselliella) and the case-bearing clothes moth (Tinea pellionella). The trap was developed for the needs of institutions protecting cultural heritage. The trap can also be used in households and other places where protection against clothes moths requires specialist solutions.

Application: if a room and the fabrics (carpets) in it need protection, one trap protects a room with an area of 50 m². If several adjoining rooms need protection, each with an area of less than 50 m², a trap should be set out in every room. Optimal pheromone distribution is responsible for the trap working properly. Pheromone molecules are heavier than air, so adequate air movement is essential for them to disperse properly. When protecting clothing kept in enclosed spaces such as wardrobes, remember that if the clothing is packed tightly, the traps should be placed outside – on top of the wardrobe or in its immediate vicinity. If the clothing is loosely arranged with plenty of free space, the traps should be placed inside. Do not use more than one trap per clothing storage place.
