The European cherry fruit fly is a dangerous pest whose larvae destroy the fruit, causing it to rot and drop prematurely. The panko® Cover-Trap is an ecological alternative to chemical spraying. By combining a yellow colour that is attractive to these flies with a specialist attractant mixed into the glue, the trap effectively lures and immobilises adult pests, breaking their breeding cycle.

Innovative technology that is safe for pollinators
This is a cover-trap type trap dedicated to day-active insects, designed with environmental safety in mind. The specially moulded housing has lowered entry thresholds (2.5–4 mm), which physically prevents larger insects such as bees, bumblebees or day-flying butterflies from getting inside. We catch only the pests – the rest of the ecosystem is safe.
