The trap catches the pest's moths. The pheromone — a scent attractive to insects — lures them in. The moths stick to the glue-coated surface of the trap, while the trap itself is safe for birds.

Plum fruit moth (Cydia funebrana L.) is one of the most dangerous fruit tree pests, causing mass damage to plums. Its presence in orchards leads to deformed fruit and premature fruit drop. A pheromone trap of the Cover Trap™ type is an effective solution that allows continuous monitoring of this insect's population.

Regular use of the traps makes it possible to determine precisely when the pest arrives and to take appropriate protective measures at the right point in the season.
